STAMPEDE DAY SEVEN: WILD WEST WEDNESDAY

July 2, 2014 (GREELEY, CO) Lucky day number seven was a success at the 92nd annual Greeley Stampede. Today was Wild West Wednesday as the Stampede promoted and encouraged attendees to come in their best western wear to receive discounted admission. Thousands of young and old cowboys and cowgirls came dressed and read to “Get Western” today.

Jana Kramer performed on the Big Country 97.9 Free Stage during the night. She sang her biggest hits including “Why Ya Wanna” and “I Hope it Rains,” and many more. Jana Kramer is a popular and newly emerging country artist who had a leading role in the hit TV drama series One Tree Hill. Fans lined the stage as she amazed the crowds.

The rodeo performances are quickly coming to an end. Today was the fourth performance with attendance at around 4,800. Each of these rodeo performances are adding to the list of choosing the talented athletes who will ride again in the PRCA Rodeo finals on Friday, July 4th at 1:00pm. Rockin’ Robbie Hodges continued to please the crowd with his humorous comments, performances and jokes. The attached day sheet provides scores and information about the performance today.

The live action will continue on Thursday, July 3rd, at 7:00pm. Another group of PRCA Pro Rodeo athletes will take to the arena in order to fight for their spot in the finals on Friday and a chance to take home prize money. Don’t miss out as tension and desire builds for these amazing athletes.

With a big weekend coming up, be sure to get your tickets ahead of time. Tickets for concerts, including country music legend Martina McBride (July 4th at 8:00pm) and rockin’ duo Big & Rich (July 5th at 8:00pm), rodeos, American Bullfighting, Demolition Derby and much more can be purchased at the ticket office from 9:00am to 10:00pm daily, or online at the GreeleyStampede.org.
