The Greeley Stampede together with the Greeley Art Association will continue the tradition of showcasing western art during the annual community celebration. The 24th annual Stampede Western Art Exhibition and sale will feature nationally acclaimed, returning, Legacy, local and youth artists. Entrance to the 12-day exhibit during the Greeley Stampede, is included with park admission and will be open during park hours until 9pm daily in the Island Grove Events Center lobby.


Artist Section

Calling all artists to exhibit western fine art: the western art theme can be western landscape, wildlife, and people as in cowboys, Native Americans, Mexican heritage, and their artifacts. Media includes: ● paintings ● mixed media ● dry media (pastel, graphite, colored pencil, scratchboard, drawings) ● 3-Dimensional art (sculpture, pottery, fine western craft)

The Greeley Stampede is a 2-week celebration featuring world-renowned rodeos, concerts, parades, carnival, western art, vendors and attracts over 220,000 visitors from around the world. The art show has sold over $1,000,000 of art and raised funds for scholarships and future emerging artists.

ENTRY

A non-refundable entry fee (per artist; youth entry is free with a unique coupon) of $50.00 for up to 3 juried pieces. You may also have up to 5 unframed artworks (no additional charge) in the bin area. Unframed art should be protected in clear bags. Maximum bin size 16” x 20”. Prints are allowed. You may donate an additional piece to the kick-off reception live auction. Auction proceeds benefit the Stampede Foundation.

YOUTH AWARDS

All Weld County, Colorado high school (9-12th grade) are invited to enter the art show. Youth Artists entries will be juried to top 8 submissions to display at the exhibition for no entry fee. Art Awards will be given: First place $500.00, Second & Third place $250, Fourth through Eighth place $100 and Honorable Mentions in art supplies. Art must be for sale and art commissions apply.

**NOTE: Weld County, Colorado graduating Seniors are also eligible to apply for a scholarship through the Stampede Foundation and must be a Spring of 2025 Weld County HS Graduate with a 3.0 GPA to be eligible to apply. Stampede Foundation scholarship information is available at www.greeleystampede.org/p/scholarships. Stampede Foundation scholarship applications are due March 1, 2025, by midnight and are not tied to any artwork submission a youth may wish to enter for the art exhibition.


IMPORTANT DATES

  • May 5 Final entries due to www.callforentry.org
  • June 13 (Friday) Deadline for shipped art to the Stampede office address.
  • June 16 and 17 (Mon. Tues.) Hand delivered art to the Island Grove Event Center 9:00-12:00 noon both days.
  • June 24 (Tuesday) Kick-off Opening Reception (free parking)
  • June 25 (Wednesday) Stampede starts – parking and park fees required.
  • July 6 (Sunday) Last day for celebration
  • July 7 (Monday) Pick up art at Island Grove Event Center 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
